We are looking for a Freight Dispute Claim Coordinator who can help streamline our processes here at Spreetail. This position requires someone who is a strong communicator, detail-oriented, and knows how to follow through. This person will own the design and development of ongoing metrics, reports, dashboards, etc. to drive efficiencies in Spreetail’s ordering/procurement processes. How you will achieve success:
  • Drive and own the audit process, ensuring thorough review and validation of approximately 500 freight invoices per week for accuracy and compliance with contractual pricing and service agreements.  
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration by partnering with coordinators, Dray carriers, SSLs, brand partners, logistics, and finance teams to resolve billing issues, streamline processes, and optimize cost efficiencies.  
  • Drive cost savings by analyzing freight data to detect trends, identify billing errors and discrepancies, and implement cost optimization strategies.  
  • Review all pre-approvals and disputes prior to invoicing, ensuring potential disputes are identified and addressed proactively. Manage claim processes efficiently, ensuring timely resolution and minimizing financial impact. Ensure adherence to relevant industry regulations and best practices.  Maintain accurate and organized records of audits, disputes, and resolutions. Communicate with carriers regarding discrepancies and report findings to management for continuous process improvements.  
  • Assist with implementing automation tools and streamlining audit procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Prepare regular audit reports for management, providing insights into trends, cost-saving opportunities, and operational improvements.

  • Familiarity with industry processes, including carrier pricing, tariffs, and contract rate applications.  
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate and negotiate effectively with internal and external partners.  
  • High level of accuracy in reviewing invoices, identifying discrepancies, and maintaining organized records.  
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment and competence in using relevant software and systems for auditing, data analysis, and reporting.
