Senior Web Designer

Job Purpose:

The Web Designer will be responsible for crafting visually stunning and highly functional digital experiences across various platforms. This role requires a strong understanding of modern web design trends, user experience (UX), accessibility and responsive design principles. The Web Designer will collaborate with developers, project managers, and clients to bring creative concepts to life while ensuring brand consistency and functionality. The ideal candidate has a keen eye for aesthetics, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering high-quality digital assets that meet business objectives and user needs.

Job Details:

• Location: 100% Remote - Open to candidates based in Central America, Mexico, or Colombia.
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM CR Time Zone
• Job Type: Full-Time Employment
• Language Proficiency: Spanish: Advanced (Fluent) / English: C1 in reading, writing, and conversation
• Availability: Immediate availability required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create visually appealing website layouts, landing pages, and digital assets that align with brand guidelines and marketing goals.
• Design user-friendly interfaces with a strong focus on UX/UI best practices, ensuring seamless navigation and interaction.
• Collaborate closely with developers to translate designs into functional, pixel-perfect web pages.
• Optimize design elements for performance, accessibility, and mobile responsiveness.
• Work with project managers and clients to gather requirements, present design concepts, and implement feedback effectively.
• Stay up to date with emerging web design trends, tools, and technologies.
• Develop wireframes, prototypes, and user flows to communicate design ideas and concepts.
• Assist in the creation of marketing materials, banners, and email templates.
• Ensure consistency and quality across all digital touchpoints.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining high standards.

Required Academic Background:

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Web Design, User Experience (UX) Design, or Visual Communication (or equivalent experience).
• Nice to have: Diploma or relevant certifications in UX/UI design, Web Design or related fields.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD), Figma, or Sketch.
• Experienced in conducting creative thinking sessions to define user personas and develop intuitive, visually engaging graphic interfaces for websites and mobile applications.
• Basic understanding of HTML and CSS to collaborate effectively with developers.
• Familiarity with prototyping and wireframing tools such as InVision or Balsamiq.
• Knowledge of design systems and component-based design workflows. 
• Ability to use project management tools like Jira, Asana, or Trello for task tracking and collaboration.
• Good understanding of Accessibility best practices (ADA/WCAG) to create inclusive interactive web experiences.
• Demonstrate expertise in web design tools and development collaboration.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a remote, diverse team.
• Maintain a problem-solving mindset and proactively suggest design improvements.
• Deliver projects with attention to detail, creativity, and technical excellence.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain an organized workflow, ensuring all assets and files are properly managed and documented.

Nice to Have:

• Experience on Content Authoring on CMS platforms such as WordPress & Elementor, Webflow, Strapi, Contentful or Shopify.
• Experience with animation libraries or interactive design tools such as Animate CC, Google Web Designer, Lottie or GSAP.
• Basic understanding of SEO principles and web performance optimization.

• This role requires a native Spanish speaker with intermediate to advanced English proficiency (both written and verbal).
• We are open to candidates based in Central America, Mexico, or Colombia.

Compensation$1800 - $2000 per month
