Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Attorney specializing in litigation, settlements, and contract law. This role is pivotal in resolving legal disputes efficiently and securing favorable settlements for clients. The ideal candidate will be adept at negotiating complex agreements, assessing legal risks, and providing expert legal guidance to businesses and individuals. This is a strategic role that requires strong advocacy skills, a deep understanding of contract law, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders. While there is no requirement to represent clients in court, this position will serve as the key negotiator in settlement discussions, ensuring optimal legal and financial outcomes. This is a fully remote opportunity, with a preference for candidates licensed in any key jurisdictions relevant to our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the lead negotiator in settlement discussions, leveraging legal expertise to secure favorable agreements for clients.
  • Conduct thorough case evaluations to determine the best legal strategy for resolution.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, settlement agreements, and other legal documents to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
  • Provide legal consulting services to businesses and individuals, advising on contract law, regulatory matters, and dispute resolution.
  • Work closely with internal legal teams and external counsel to develop case strategies and achieve timely settlements.
  • Research and analyze relevant case law, statutes, and legal precedents to strengthen negotiation positions.
  • Identify potential legal risks and proactively implement strategies to minimize liability.
  • Assist in structuring legal frameworks and contractual agreements to support business operations and compliance requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active bar membership, preferably in any relevant jurisdiction.
  • Extensive experience in litigation, settlements, contract law, and legal consulting.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate high-value settlements with a strategic and results-oriented approach.
  • Strong legal research skills with the ability to analyze complex issues and provide actionable legal guidance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey legal concepts clearly and persuasively.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a remote environment while effectively collaborating with legal and business teams.
  • Familiarity with financial regulations and business transactions is a plus.

Compensation:

  • Competitive base salary ranging from $150,000 - $250,000, depending on experience.
  • Performance-based bonuses tied to successful settlements and case outcomes.
  • Flexible compensation structure available for candidates willing to accept a lower base salary in exchange for higher bonuses.

Join this dynamic legal team and play a crucial role in achieving fair and strategic settlements. If you are a skilled negotiator with a passion for litigation strategy and contract law, we encourage you to apply today!
