The Manager, Global Trade will join the Authorizations Management team with Collins Aerospace’s Central Global Trade organization. This role will be responsible for ensuring Global Trade policies and procedures sufficiently address global authorization requirements as well as ensure the organization has the appropriate tools and training to effectively implement such requirements. As part of the Global Trade team, you will support ensuring regulatory compliance to the U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR), U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), and other global regulations that govern requirements for our U.S. and international businesses.

What You Will Do:

  • Develop and socialize Authorizations Management guidance and work instructions

  • Support and pursue opportunities to enhance Collins Aerospace authorization management tools used to review and approve transfers of commodities, software, technology/technical data, and services

  • Partner with Ethics and Compliance, Supply Chain, Human Resources and Global Trade professionals across the organization to promote process improvements and provide ongoing oversight to ensure compliance to ITAR Part 129 and Part 130 requirements

  • Identify and benchmark cross business best practices for training, to include developing training material and leading training sessions

  • Support investigations with authorizations related matters, including assistance with authorization reviews, root cause analysis, and identification and implementation of corrective actions

  • Must be willing and able to travel 10% of the time

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience 

  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined

  • 3+ years experience in the preparation and management of ITAR and EAR US export authorizations (including exemptions and exceptions)

  • 3+ years experience with ITAR Part 129 “Registration and Licensing of Brokers” and Part 130 “Political Contributions, Fees and Commissions” requirements

  • 5+ years experience with export controls (ITAR/EAR)

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Familiarity with Non-U.S. export controls

  • Experience using SAP Global Trade Services (GTS), OCR EASE, SNAP-R, and DECCs

  • Ability to engage and influence throughout all levels of the organization

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles* will work primarily offsite (from home).  An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
