The Generalist, People & Development provides general Human Resources support for assigned Maritz Solution(s).

Primary Responsibilities

40%

Manages Workday HCM processing and ensures changes are completed in a timely and accurate manner.  Develops, improves, and delivers necessary ad-hoc reporting.  Makes proactive recommendations relative to process changes and/or improvements.  Gathers necessary documentation for and completes unemployment claims including acting as representation on hearings when needed. Provides necessary support to People & Development leadership to implement newly established and regularly scheduled annual programs, such as 9-block talent assessment, succession planning, bonus and merit planning, annual performance reflections, etc.

30%

Closely partners with the Talent Acquisition team in support of the recruitment process.  In doing so, may assist with interviewing during peak seasons and/or other parts of the hiring process.  Manages I-9 processing to ensure completion upon hire.  Influences and supports department on-boarding initiatives and recognition programs to ensure a positive, meaningful, effective, and consistent employer brand experience. 

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree required, Human Resources or related business degree preferred.

2. 3+ years of Human Resources experience, preferred.

3. Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.

4. Must be able to work independently and perform multiple projects simultaneously.

5. Proven problem-solving skills.
