Role Summary
The Manager, People Partner is a key member of the People team reporting to the VP of People. They will both lead our Talent Management programs as well as provide HR Business Partnership to the Revenue and Business Development/Policy organizations.
In this newly created role, this individual will act as a strategic partner to leaders and provide guidance to employees and managers, helping them navigate career development, performance conversations, and other organizational challenges. They will also be responsible for shaping talent programs from the ground up, with the goal of cultivating a high impact culture. They will play a crucial role in ensuring our offerings are engaging, effective and equitable for our employees. Their expertise in scaling HR practices within startup environments will be essential as we continue to grow and evolve. They thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and they love being a part of a small, fun, and mighty team!
Key areas of responsibilities include:
Talent Management
- Performance Management: Lead and enhance performance management cycles, ensuring alignment with business objectives and fostering a culture of excellence and continuous feedback and development.
- Leadership & Manager Development: Design and implement leadership and manager development programs to equip leaders with the skills necessary to navigate a fast-moving, innovative environment.
- Talent Strategy & Programs: Drive initiatives related to professional development, rotational talent programs, and other strategic talent initiatives.
- Employee Engagement: Lead employee engagement surveys, including strategy, execution, analysis, and action planning. Partner with leaders and People Team peers to support employee engagement initiatives that drive motivation, connection, and retention.
Strategic & Tactical Partnership:
- Act as a trusted partner and advisor to leaders, providing guidance regarding people strategies aligned with business goals.
- Support the roll-out and execution of all key people programs within their organizations including the facilitation of talent reviews and other people processes.
- Provide insights and recommendations on workforce planning, organizational design, and talent development.
- Support professional development and leadership capability initiatives that empower employees and managers to deliver their best work and achieve their goals.
- Partner with leaders and members of the People Team to build a strong, inclusive, and values-driven company culture that attracts and retains top talent.
- Provide day-to-day HR support in areas including organizational effectiveness, employee relations, policy guidance, reporting and talent platform management as applicable.
Requirements
- 5-8 years of relevant and proven People Team experience in a startup or high-growth environment, with a strong understanding of scaling HR initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of and hands-on experience with designing and implementing talent programs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to build trusting relationships.
- Effective partnering, coaching, facilitating, and influencing skills at all levels.
- Ability to think strategically and roll up their sleeves to execute programs in a lean organization.
- Strong aptitude in problem-solving and influencing with data.
- Comfortable in an evolving environment, bringing creative solutions to talent challenges.
- Agile, team player with a results-driven approach in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

- Additional experience and interest in employee relations, compliance or HR analytics is a plus!
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Business Administration is also a plus, not required!

- A full-time position, with a competitive salary based on experience. The base salary for this role is: $140k - $170k.
