This is a remote position.

Schedule: Flexible within client business hours | Cornelius, NC, USA

Number of working hours per week: 20 Hours

Our client has developed an innovative video-first social platform that empowers users to engage in political discussions and connect with local communities. With a successful app already in the App Store, they are now scaling for enterprise clients by creating white-labeled versions to help organizations better engage with their audiences. They are seeking a React Native Developer with Expo expertise to refactor and optimize their mobile app for scalability and white-labeling. You’ll work with React Native, Expo, Node.js, and Cloudflare to enhance performance and usability. With major growth plans and an important client presentation ahead, your work will have an immediate impact.

Responsibilities:

Analyze the existing React Native and Expo application architecture to identify areas for improvement
Refactor and restructure components to improve code quality, performance, and maintainability
Implement industry best practices for mobile development and code organization
Develop a flexible architecture to support future white-labeling capabilities
Collaborate with the Node.js backend and Cloudflare media infrastructure
Participate in planning sessions to align development efforts with business objectives
Contribute ideas and solutions to technical challenges as part of a collaborative team
Assist in preparing technical demonstrations for potential enterprise clients

Requirements:

Proven experience developing mobile applications with React Native
Strong proficiency with the Expo framework and its ecosystem
Demonstrated ability to refactor codebases and implement architectural improvements
Understanding of Node.js backends and RESTful API integration
Experience with mobile application architecture and component design
Proficiency with version control systems and collaborative development workflows
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently while maintaining clear communication
Availability of at least 20 hours per week with flexible scheduling
Preferred: Portfolio or examples of previous React Native/Expo projects
