INCATech is searching for a ServiceNow Developer - Senior to support a Federal Government ServiceNow Project. The incumbent shall be able to perform the following responsibilities and have commensurate experience.
As a Senior ServiceNow Developer, you will lead a team responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the ServiceNow platform, including its ITSM Pro and ITOM modules, to support enterprise needs. You will ensure the effective implementation of agile practices, drive integration efforts, and oversee the development of advanced workflows and automations. This position requires hands-on technical expertise combined with strong leadership skills to deliver impactful solutions across multiple business areas.
Responsibilities
Platform Development and Customization - Lead the design, development, and customization of ServiceNow applications and service catalog requests to meet enterprise requirements. Oversee the creation and modification of automated workflows, ensuring alignment with business needs. Implement and maintain ITSM Pro, ITOM Visibility, and other ServiceNow modules to support process enhancements and operational efficiency. Provide technical leadership in configuring, integrating, and maintaining MID servers across on-premises and multi-cloud environments (Google, Azure, AWS).
Agile Development Practices - Utilize agile methodologies to manage the development lifecycle, including sprint planning, documentation, and deployment plans for new features and enhancements. Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of development, modernization, and enhancement (DME) initiatives.
Integration and Automation - Develop and maintain integrations with external systems, leveraging out-of-the-box connectors, custom APIs, and ServiceNow scripting capabilities. Support enterprise integrations with tools such as vulnerability scanners, endpoint management solutions, SIEM tools, and identity and access management systems. Ensure seamless interoperability with cloud-native tools in USPTO’s SaaS and cloud environments.
Platform Maintenance and Operations - Manage and maintain ServiceNow Development, Test, and Production instances, ensuring platform stability and performance. Oversee the resolution of incidents, service requests, and platform issues, implementing best practices to improve support processes. Proactively enhance existing ITSM processes, including change management, incident management, and service catalog development, to align with evolving business needs.
Leadership and Collaboration - Lead a team of ServiceNow developers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure high-quality deliverables. Collaborate with business units and technical teams to gather requirements, identify gaps, and translate them into technical solutions. Drive platform adoption by partnering with stakeholders to deprecate disparate tools and methods, replacing them with streamlined ServiceNow solutions.
Documentation and Compliance - Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including workflows, deployment plans, and integration specifications. Ensure all development activities comply with government policies, including Agile DevSecOps practices.
Enhancement and Innovation - Support the continued enhancement of the ServiceNow platform, including the integration of new modules and capabilities, to meet the organization's growing demand. Leverage ITOM Discovery and associated modules to enhance visibility and enable proactive management of IT infrastructure.

5 years software development experience, with 3+ years’ experience in ServiceNow implementations
ServiceNow Development certification
Knowledge of SAML, Active Directory, or LDAP integrations

Experience with creation and modification of automated workflows
Experience with implementations of ServiceNow modules .
