We are seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to lead the secure development and deployment of cloud-native infrastructure in support of a mission-critical cybersecurity modernization effort. This role requires hands-on expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Configuration as Code (CaC), containerization, secure image creation, and CI/CD automation. The engineer will design and develop systems that enable multi-cloud deployment pipelines, secrets management, system interoperability, and environment telemetry. Operating in high-security environments (including IL2–IL6 and TS/SCI), the candidate will ensure that solutions adhere to NIST 800-53, DISA STIGs, and DoD cloud mandates. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment, collaborating with engineers, architects, and cybersecurity professionals to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable platforms.
Responsibilities
Create and maintain IaC and CaC to deliver consistent, repeatable provisioning of infrastructure, environments, and applications.
Architect and implement cloud-agnostic deployment pipelines supporting Azure and AWS.
Design and implement observability frameworks and pipelines to support domain telemetry, monitoring, and data fusion.
Ensure all solutions adhere to NIST 800-53, DISA STIGs, and DoD cloud mandates.
Establish cloud infrastructure services, identity and access management (IAM) capabilities, enforce network security controls, and support cloud cost tracking/reporting.
Develop automation scripts to improve operational efficiency, reduce manual intervention, and increase platform reliability.
Operate as a self-starter who takes ownership and possesses a strong bias for action, navigates ambiguity with sound judgment, and moves work forward without waiting for direction.
Requirements
Active Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a TS-SCI Security Clearance.
5–10 years of experience as a DevSecOps Engineer in cloud or hybrid environments.
Deep experience with Azure and AWS cloud service providers.
Expertise in implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform and Configuration as Code (CaC) using Ansible.
Proficiency in container orchestration using Kubernetes.
Demonstrated experience with CI/CD tooling.
Strong understanding of Linux system administration (RHEL8 preferred), networking, and OS-level security.
Familiarity with secure image development, NIST SP 800-53 Rev. 5, DISA STIGs, RMF, and Zero Trust architectures.
Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, PowerShell, Bash, or Go.
Preferred Qualifications
Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
IAT Level II Certification
Proficiency in writing custom Helm Charts
Experience with either Rancher or Open Shift
Experience with managing Service Mesh solutions like Istio, Linkerd, or Consul.
Familiarity with container-based security tools (e.g., Aqua, Prisma Cloud, Trivy)
