About The Role

Job Summary:

The Citizen Security & Public Services Sector (CSPS) Strategy Team is seeking a talented and innovative Multimedia Visual Designer with expertise in modern design techniques and a strong portfolio showcasing your ability to create visually compelling work across multiple platforms, for both internal and external customers. The ideal candidate will possess strong design skills in PowerPoint presentations, print materials, video and multimedia, web design, social media, and infographics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop visually appealing PowerPoint presentations that effectively communicate key messages.
• Create high-quality print materials, including brochures, flyers, posters, and advertisements.
• Produce engaging video content and multimedia assets, incorporating motion graphics and animations as needed.
• Design user-friendly web interfaces and digital assets, ensuring responsive and modern web design principles.
• Develop creative social media visuals, banners, and content to enhance brand presence and engagement.
• Craft informative and aesthetically pleasing infographics to simplify complex data and concepts.
• Manage and organize digital assets and content within Microsoft SharePoint and other intranet platforms to ensure streamlined collaboration and accessibility.
• Collaborate with marketing, content, and development teams to ensure cohesive design across all mediums.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, tools, and best practices to integrate modern techniques into your work.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively while maintaining high standards of quality and attention to detail.
  
  

Qualifications

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field and 5 years experience. Master's degree and 3 years of experience or PhD and 0 years of experience. High School diploma and 9 years of experience
• Proven experience as a Visual Designer or similar role, with a strong portfolio of diverse work.
• Expertise in digital product design & collaboration platforms, including Figma, FigJam and Sketch.
• Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere Pro).
• Expertise in Microsoft PowerPoint, with the ability to create complex and polished presentations.
• Familiarity and proficiency in social media platforms and their specific visual design requirements.
• Strong understanding of typography, color theory, and layout principles.
• Experience in designing, managing and organizing content within Microsoft SharePoint and intranet platforms.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to present and explain design concepts.
• A proactive mindset, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  
  

Preferred Skills:

• Understanding and usage of AI platforms like ChatGPT and related tools.
• Knowledge of HTML/CSS and basic web development principles.
• Video editing and motion graphic skills are highly desirable.
• Understanding of User Experience (UX) design and User Interface (UI) design principles.
• Experience with 3D design and rendering tools is a plus.

Details

Target Salary Range: $66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
