Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

We are seeking a Senior Producer to lead the creation of innovative and engaging YouTube content, collaborating with creative teams to develop compelling ideas that drive views and audience engagement. This role works on all aspects of the production process – from development to post-production — ensuring projects are executed efficiently, on time, and within budget, and optimized for performance on YouTube. The Senior Producer will help manage relationships with external production partners and talent, provide guidance to mid-level producers, and support department leadership. The role will also oversee all contracts, invoices, and releases, and ensure all necessary deliverables are properly organized and tracked. We want candidates who will have a passion for creating best practices and processes to ensure our video operations are best in class. The role will work alongside a team of talented producers, editors, and production companies and report to the Director of Editorial Video & Audio.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop innovative content ideas that resonate with YouTube audiences.
  • Direct and/or supervise on-set shoots and ensure smooth production days.
  • Watch all rough and final cuts, providing feedback to maintain high-quality standards on YouTube longform videos and social cutdowns.
  • Oversee all non-scripted casting efforts.
  • Manage contracts, invoices, and POs for freelancers and production companies, ensuring accurate, to-the-minute budget and contract tracking.
  • Provide guidance to mid-level producers.
  • Oversee timelines, call sheets, and deliverable deadlines.
  • Alongside Editorial Video Manager, ensure all releases (talent, location, etc.) are received, organized, and sent to appropriate team members.
  • Alongside YouTube Manager, make sure the video drive is organized and updated with all necessary deliverables.
  • Assist in Podcast production in 2H 2025.

SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES HAVE:

  • 10+ years production experience, with a proven track record of managing digital video content from concept to final delivery.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to oversee multiple projects, supervise producers, and manage workload distribution effectively.
  • YouTube expertise, understanding what drives engagement, retention, and audience growth on the platform.
  • A keen editorial eye, capable of reviewing rough and final cuts, providing constructive feedback, and upholding high-quality standards.
  • Budget and contract management experience, including handling invoices, POs, freelancer agreements, and tracking production costs.
  • A detail-oriented approach to logistics, securing all necessary releases, licensing footage and photos, and maintaining organized production assets.
  • The ability to problem-solve on set, attending shoots to ensure smooth execution and troubleshoot any production challenges.
  • Experience with production coordination, including scheduling, call sheets, and meeting deadlines for final deliverables.
