Overview of the Job: 

Nova 401(k) Associates is seeking an experienced manager to lead our Distributions Team, a pivotal role in our organization. As the Distributions Team Leader, your primary focus will be on efficiently overseeing the workflow for routine participant distribution projects.  

This position involves a mix of both people and project management. You will provide guidance and mentorship to our distribution team to help them develop their expertise and ensure that participant distribution requests are processed both timely and accurately. You will assist in handling escalated customer service opportunities and work with other departments to ensure a great customer experience.     

While you won’t be expected to know everything there is to know about ERISA, you should have a comfortable working knowledge of distribution & loan- related ERISA guidelines and regulations (think RMDs, hardships, participant loans, QDROs) and demonstrate the ability to comprehend and interpret upcoming regulations that impact the retirement industry and participant distributions specifically.

What You’ll Do: 

  • Manage 8-10 staff members to meet Nova’s overall service standards, as well as team and individual productivity and performance metrics 
  • Champion Nova 401(k) Associates values and policies as you communicate with participants, principals, clients, financial advisors, attorneys, CPAs and other professionals throughout the loan and distribution process 
  • Optimize existing processes and reports, and assist in developing new processes and reporting to assist you in managing the daily inflow and outflow of distribution requests 
  • Keep current with new regulations and proposed legislation as well as an awareness of proposed legislation surrounding loans and distributions 

A Successful Candidate Will Have: 

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • A minimum of five years of management experience in a fast-paced & high-volume environment 
  • Relevant experience in the TPA or financial industries, having demonstrated the ability to maintain confidential information 
  • Excellent communicator & creative thinker, with the ability to use data to inform decisions and solve problems 
  • Experience working and managing staff in a remote work environment 
  • Proficient in creating reports and analyzing data in MS Excel 
  • Clean background check 
  • ASPPA/NIPA industry credentials a plus 

 

Compensation and Benefits: 

  • Base Salary $90,000-$115,000 
  • Salaried, exempt

Work Location/Hours: 

  • Work from home 
  • Must work from USA and be authorized to work for any US employer 
  • We will supply all necessary computer equipment 
  • You may choose a start time between 7:30 am and 8:30 am
