About the Role

The People Shared Services and Operations team supports the strategies and success of our People & Culture (P&C) organization in inspiring our 4,000+ Stitch Fix employees to be their best selves and do their best work. Stitch Fix is seeking a strategic, business-minded leader to join our team as a Director People Shared Services and Operations. The areas of focus for the role include:

  • Leading a team of bright, experienced people operations professionals, while collaborating effectively across P&C and Stitch Fix
  • Drive best in class People Services team and optimize for employee experience and high impact business priorities
  • Partner closely with our HRIS team to optimize and fully utilize P&C tech stack, including hands on leadership on key tech initiatives and people services projects 
  • Optimize for existing processes and create new processes, tools, and ways of working that enable efficiency and alignment in our cross-P&C ways of working
  • Driving the overall effectiveness of P&C through proactive business processes and new initiative launches

This role will be remote and will report to our VP of Shared Services, Talent & Growth. This leader will also work closely with our leaders across multiple P&C teams and HRIS.

  • Bring thought leadership, tailored insights, and strategic perspective to build and execute on People Services and Operations strategy
  • Partner closely across the People & Culture team and broader company to assess existing People programs, processes, and practices, identify gaps and opportunities for significant impact and improvement
  • Use data, Stitch Fix context, industry best practices and feedback anecdotes to help design, incubate and launch high impact programs and initiatives. In partnership with IT and P&C leadership, drive an efficient P&C tech stack, including an assessment of  our current technology platforms and tools and new potential vendors against our organizational needs and a medium-term view of the strategic/financial tradeoffs
  • Perform ‘competitive intelligence’ in researching and staying current with best practices, innovations and trends in people practices/shared services among peer companies and in our industry

  • You have 7+ years of relevant professional experience, ‘in-house’ experience at a large, complex organization.
  • Your experience designing, building, driving, and operationalizing high-impact and scalable People programs and initiatives for diverse and complex organizations
  • Your experience in managing HR Shared services teams
  • Your experience in managing HR Tech (experience with Workday is a bonus)
  • Your exceptional project management experience, making you adept at breaking down large-scale, complex problems into clear, ambitious, and manageable milestones
  • (Bonus) Experience in standing up HR Shared services teams
  • You are able to understand our broad and long-term People & Culture strategy, shaping our 2-3 year priorities, and drive hands on the near-term execution, including translating priorities to projects, that drive the expected impact on the business 
  • You are a focused, organized, hands on and results-driven individual with the discipline and gravitas to drive a diverse set of cross-functional partners towards a set of defined goals

Compensation and Benefits

This role will receive a competitive salary, benefits, and equity. The salary for US-based employees hired into this role will be aligned with the range below, which includes our three geographic areas. A variety of factors are considered when determining someone’s compensation–including a candidate’s professional background, experience, location, and performance. This position is eligible for an annual bonus, and new hire and ongoing grants of restricted stock units, depending on employee and company performance. Salary Range
$156,400$230,000 USD
