Job Title: Operations Paralegal
Type of Position: Full Time
Location: Fully Remote
Pay:  $28.00/hour - $48.00/hour
Job Description:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Ensure compliance of legal and company guidelines and procedures
  • Collaborate with multiple pre-litigation departments and teams to identify potential cases for litigation and facilitate the progress of cases
  • Review, analyze and evaluate cases with approaching statutes of limitation
  • Manage and maintain case management database---including updates and report generation
  • Prepare informative reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing case information
  • Document case highlights and concerns, define litigation case objectives, and formulate case plan in accordance with company strategies.
  • Assign new cases to the Litigation Teams on an as needed basis
  • Conduct investigations and documentary research
  • Navigate California Superior Court websites to obtain case/docket information
  • Research into party identity, location and assets
  • Calendar and manage important deadlines, including but not limited to, statutes of limitation, court hearings, and due dates
  • Draft and file legal documents with the court, including, but not limited to summons, complaints and proofs of service
  • Serve as a liaison between pre-litigation departments and litigation department
Qualifications:
  • At least 3 years of civil litigation experience, personal injury experience preferred
  • ABA-approved Paralegal Certification required
  • Very well organized
  • Good follow-up
  • Strong communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Knowledge of Internet software, spreadsheet software and word processing software
