What are we looking for?

We are looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer to join a global leader in government technology. You'll design, develop, create, test, and execute automated and manual test scripts in this opportunity. Responsible for defining, applying & maintaining practical automation design standards and practices with the objectives of maximizing reusability and maintainability

Here are some of the exciting day-to-day challenges you will face in this role:
  • Design, develop, implement, and maintain automation frameworks and tools.
  • Participate in the testing process through team collaboration, test case reviews, and analysis to identify test automation or scripting concerns.
  • Convert manual tests to automated tests, ensuring quality through review of source code, creation of test data, manual testing, automated testing, debugging, and inspection of test results.
  • Execute test automation as part of release testing, record and analyze results, and resolve test issues.
  • Log defects for test failures due to changes in the code under test.
  • Design, create, and publish summarized reports of test results.
  • Communicate testing events, daily statuses, test results, and metrics

  • You will shine if you have these skills:
  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field or equivalent industry-related professional experience and education
  • Hands-on experience in designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining an automation framework
  • Experience in writing and creating automated tests and test scripts
  • Experience with Playwright for automated testing of web applications, including familiarity with parallel test execution and other open-source testing frameworks (JUnit, NUnit, Appium, TestNG, etc.).
  • Experience reporting automated test results using detailed, fact-based metrics, with a preference for familiarity with Allure Reports or similar reporting tools.
  • Experience reporting automated test results in a clear, detailed, and analytical style using fact-based metrics
  • Knowledge of test automation integration into CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with Android, iPhone, or Windows emulators and mobile devices testing
  • Experience automating API tests, including creating and executing test scripts for functionality and performance.

  • It doesn't hurt if you also have:
  • Familiarity with API testing tools like Postman is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
