The Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition at Iowa State University seeks a part-time lecturer (25%) in the area of Food systems management and leadership. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Food systems management and leadership content in an online graduate level course in the Master of Professional Practice in Dietetics (MPPD) program during the summer 2025 semester. The position will require creating course materials including lectures, assignments and exams in accordance with ISU and Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) accreditation standards and competencies; grading assignments, assessing competencies and answering student questions via an online course management program (Canvas).
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an on-going basis without sponsorship.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s degree in nutrition, dietetics or related discipline
Registered Dietitian
Management and/or leadership experience in dietetics
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience teaching online courses
Knowledge of Canvas software
Licensed Dietitian or eligible for licensure in Iowa
