Position Overview:

Insightec is seeking a highly strategic, commercially driven Global Vice President of Commercial Training to lead our global commercial training initiatives. This role will focus on driving business growth through the development of cutting-edge, high-impact training programs that elevate the performance of our commercial teams across sales, marketing, and customer success. You will be at the forefront of shaping the learning strategies that enable our teams to meet the challenges of a rapidly evolving marketplace, ensuring our products, services, and brand are represented with excellence at every customer touchpoint.

As a key member of the leadership team, you will work closely with Commercial, Marketing, and Product Leadership to design and implement comprehensive training strategies that not only build high-performing teams but also drive commercial excellence, revenue growth, and market leadership.

 

What you will be doing:

Commercial Training Strategy & Leadership

  • Develop and execute a global training strategy that aligns with Insightec’s commercial objectives, focusing on sales effectiveness, marketing excellence, and customer engagement.
  • Partner with sales, marketing, and customer success leaders to identify skills gaps and create training programs that elevate team capabilities in driving revenue, product adoption, and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead the design and deployment of training initiatives that support the go-to-market strategy, new product launches, and customer relationship management.
  • Design and deploy scalable, region-specific training programs that address the nuances of global markets, including regulatory differences, local competitive landscapes, and cultural considerations.
  • Oversee the development of training platforms and digital resources that enable global access to training and learning content.
  • Utilize metrics and data analytics to assess the effectiveness of learning programs and make data-driven decisions to continually improve training offerings. Regularly assess the training needs of the commercial organization, staying ahead of market trends, competitor strategies, and evolving customer needs.
  • Integrate customer feedback, market data, and commercial performance metrics into training development to ensure the ongoing alignment of learning initiatives with business goals.

 

Sales and Marketing Enablement

  • Create tailored training programs for commercial teams, focusing on sales methodologies, product knowledge, market positioning, competitive intelligence, and customer engagement strategies.
  • In collaboration with global HR L&D, execute leadership training programs aimed at fostering a high-performance sales and marketing culture.
  • In collaboration with global HR L&D, design development programs for emerging leaders and key talent in commercial roles.
  • Equip the marketing team with training that sharpens their ability to craft compelling messaging, product positioning, and targeted campaigns that resonate with customers.
  • Develop advanced sales enablement tools, resources, and content that improve productivity, close rates, and sales cycle efficiency.

 

Market-Focused Learning Programs

  • Drive innovative learning solutions that are not just focused on internal capabilities but also on how teams engage with external stakeholders, including healthcare providers, distributors, and other partners.
  • Implement training to support the development of strategic partnerships and ensure commercial teams are equipped with the skills to manage complex negotiations and business development opportunities.

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Product and R&D teams to ensure commercial teams are fully educated on product innovations, technical specifications, and market trends.
  • Partner with the Customer Success team to create programs that improve customer retention, onboarding, and long-term satisfaction.

Qualifications:

Education

  • MBA (Master of Business Administration) is required, preferably with a focus on Strategy, Marketing, or Commercial Leadership. A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is also required.

Experience

  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in commercial roles such as sales, marketing, or business development, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership position focused on learning and development within a commercial context.
  • Proven track record of leading commercial training initiatives, especially in a high-growth, global environment.
  • Strong experience in commercial enablement, including sales training, sales operations, marketing programs, and customer success.
  • Experience within the healthcare or medical technology industry is highly desirable.

  • Deep understanding of commercial functions, including sales, marketing, and customer success, with the ability to create learning programs that drive business results.
  • Expertise in sales methodologies, go-to-market strategies, and market analysis.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Ability to build strong cross-functional relationships and influence senior leaders.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiarity with digital learning platforms, learning management systems (LMS), and data analytics for measuring training effectiveness.
