Job description

The salary for this role is £30,000 – £35,000.

As a Governance Analyst at LI, you will play a key co-ordination role in ensuring executives and other senior stakeholders are kept informed of business developments through insightful reporting. 

As an instrumental team player, at the core of the Governance, Risk, Compliance & Assurance (GRAC) function, you will provide invaluable support in the capture, collation and reporting of risk, compliance and assurance information. 

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Governance reporting – Creating diary reminders and coordinating with paper contributors to ensure information is received in a timely manner.  Collate reports and alongside the PMO Lead, review the quality and accuracy of submissions.  Share finalised output with committee members in line with agreed meeting terms of reference. 
  • Board and ARAC secretariat – Producing minutes from Board and Audit and Risk Assurance Committee (ARAC) meetings.  Capturing actions arising in meetings and track progress to completion.   
  • Assurance action tracking – Working with stakeholders across the business, requesting, collating and tracking internal audit findings and actions, ensuring control gaps and process deficiencies are addressed promptly.  Drafting key MI metrics to support the delivery of internal audit reporting to ARAC and other governance forums.   
  • Policy framework development – Assisting in the development of the policy framework, by supporting policy owners across the organisation create and maintain policies within their area of responsibility.  Maintaining the master policy register and work with policy owners to ensure documents remain relevant and up to date, in light of regulatory and business change.   
  • Risk management framework support – Undertaking a range of activities to support the development, delivery and embedding of the LI risk management framework.  This will include working with stakeholders at all levels across the organisation to request, collate and track key risk indicators and monitor accepted risks.  As the framework embeds, play a supporting role in the development of a risk aware culture within LI and assist in maintaining the risk software system.            
  • Information Asset Owner liaison – Working alongside the Data Protection Officer, provide ongoing support in all aspects of Information Asset Owner (IAO) liaison.  This includes requesting and assimilating content from IAOs for the Information Asset Register and Retention Schedule and supporting Business Capability Areas undertake Data Protection Impact Assessments.

Requirements

We are looking for someone with the following skills and experience:

  • Governance experience, particularly in the coordination and issuing of Board papers, meeting minutes and associated administrative tasks. 
  • Comfortable interacting and building relationships with individuals at all levels across the business, including Board members and Non-Executive Directors.
  • Capability in challenging non-delivery and/or poor-quality reporting is a must.   
  • Experience in managing several, often conflicting, priorities.
  • Proven ability to deliver consistently high-quality output on time, escalating issues/blockers as necessary. 
  • Excellent PowerPoint, Word and Excel skills.
  • An understanding of the need for discretion and confidentiality in the role.
  • Reliable and highly organised with great attention to detail.
  • Adaptability, resilience and openness to change.
