Job description

We are recruiting a Field Service Supervisor to join our Team based in the South East of England (London/Kent).

What will you be doing in this role?

As a Field Service Supervisor at Tunstall, you will be integral in supporting a team of engineers and technicians in delivering first class customer service in an efficient and professional manner, continually meeting or exceeding given performance targets as directed by their Service Manager.

The Ideal candidate:

The job holder shall always balance the needs of the customer with the profitability and reputation of Tunstall and must be able to consistently demonstrate exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.

Key skills and experience:

  • Comprehensive and in-depth technical understanding of Electrical and Electronic systems / principles.
  • An electrical/electronic qualification equivalent to or above an NVQ level 2 or similar.
  • Full driving license.
  • Be able to demonstrate problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Be able to demonstrate Customer focus – the customer comes first.
  • Be able to demonstrate effective team working including mentoring / coaching and training others
  • Effective communication skills
  • The ability to work at heights or in confined dusty spaces.
  • Good IT skills
  • Sound knowledge of Health & Safety issues relating to the service function
  • Experience of working with the elderly and vulnerable people.
  • Experience of working with KPI’s, performance measures, SLA’s or similar.
  • A calm, positive and helpful disposition

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • To be the Safety Health and Environmental representative for your team in the field.
  • To manage the day-to-day operation of a team of field engineers.
  • To repair and maintain existing equipment and systems across the full range of products.
  • To continually exceed performance targets as set by the Service Manager in the areas of productivity, quality of workmanship, first fix rate, stock control and attendance at work.
  • To demonstrate a comprehensive and in-depth knowledge of all the company's core products both in their repair and functionality.
  • To provide technical assistance and training to other members of the team and customers as directed by the Company.
  • Identify issues that impact upon customer satisfaction levels and actively participate in their resolution and future prevention, whilst adhering to the Company's policies and procedures.
  • To provide cover in the absence of your Service Manager.
  • Be part of a standby rota to support all company products.
  • Assist with the installations of assisted living systems (Telecare/Telehealth).
  • A positive and progressive attitude towards the Company, striving constantly to improve processes and performance
