A Better Opportunity

Our Accounting and Finance team is hiring a proactive and motivated Staff Accountant. This individual will be responsible for daily cash entries, invoice accruals, fixed assets, and prepaids. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead the cash process and has the potential to grow within the company. The key strengths need for this role are attention to detail, organization, time management, and excellent communication skills. This position is fully remote and expected to work eastern time zone hours.

Responsibilities

Own the bank file and cash entry process

Prepare journal entries to support daily and month end activities, including fixed assets, prepaid expenses, cash, accruals, etc.

Prepare account reconciliations

Listen to, learn form, and partner with members of various departments to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial information

Provide support for audit requests

Help analyze account variances

Qualifications

Degree in accounting, business or finance

1-2 years of experience in accounting

Adaptable to multiple and frequent changes in business environment

Proven expertise with Excel

Experience with Netsuite preferred, but not required

Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, without losing attention to detail

Proactively review processes for improvement opportunities; never satisfied with the status quo

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
