Overview

We are seeking a "First among equals" engineer to lead squad engineers in designing, developing, configuring, maintaining, and testing computer software. The ideal candidate will translate business needs into working code, focusing primarily on Fullstack Web development (ReactJS, NextJS) with some Salesforce (SFDC/SFMC) tasks. We welcome candidates who may not have extensive Salesforce experience but are eager to learn.

Responsibilities

Leadership in Development: Lead squad engineers to build and maintain software by translating user stories from the backlog into working code using modern design patterns and architectural principles.
Problem Solving: Assist squad members in overcoming technical challenges and guide them in implementing solutions aligned with the squad's technology strategy.
Code Quality Accountability: Ensure that code produced by squad members is of high quality, well documented, efficient, maintainable, and adheres to established standards.
Testing and Deployment: Drive the testing and deployment of software solutions, ensuring sufficient automated testing to maintain solution quality.
Mentorship & Coaching: Mentor and coach squad technical team members on best practices and principles through activities like code reviews.
Operational Efficiency: Enhance operational efficiency by leveraging the SDLC Toolchain and contributing automation tools and scripts, such as CI/CD automation.
Technical Vision Communication: Define and communicate a shared technical and architectural vision to ensure solutions meet intended purposes.
Cross-Squad Collaboration: Collaborate with other Lead Engineers/squads to manage risks and track cross-squad dependencies and impediments.
Support Product Owner: Assist the Product Owner in defining user stories and acceptance criteria, and provide input on resource allocation to address critical bottlenecks.
Technical Debt Management: Manage technical debt, including conducting vulnerability scans.
Release Process Management: Oversee the movement of code through environments and into production.
User Story Development: Contribute to developing user stories during sprints when needed.

Requirements

Technology Stack: Proficient in Fullstack Web technologies (ReactJS, NextJS) and familiar with Salesforce (SFDC/SFMC). Willingness to learn additional technologies is a plus.
Experience: Background in Data Engineering & Analytics, Cybersecurity, Cloud Dev & Security, and Software Development.
Management: Ability to manage technical priorities within the backlog and possess functional knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, test automation, solution architecture, API architecture, and systems integration.
