As a Program Senior Program Manager Provider Incentives, you will call upon your experience working with physician and provider incentive plans and programs daily. Your work location will be entirely remote. Your work shifts will be Monday-Friday in the Arizona Time Zone business hours. Holiday schedules will follow the Banner Corporate Holiday closures.

POSITION SUMMARY

This position provides guidance and expertise in support of Banner Health’s strategic growth objectives, including acute care operations, medical group operations, Banner Health Network, ambulatory services, academic operations, and research. Planning and development efforts include: business case and capital planning, service line and physician market strategies, market and community needs analyses, and Mergers and Acquisitions. The position provides guidance and performance management to these strategic efforts, partnering with division leaders to develop business cases, conduct due diligence, and prepare recommendations to senior leadership.

CORE FUNCTIONS

1. Provides support for planning and product/service development including the development of Physician Market strategies, business plans, and operational/capital plans. 

2. Influences processes relating to growth development, including the identification of strategic partners, development of partnership objectives, real estate planning and related evaluations and business plans. May also assist with the implementation and integration of new partnerships, including start-up, initial operations, performance tracking and postmortem “make good” evaluations.

3. Partners with internal stakeholders as well as external entities to build and establish relationships with potential short and long-term partners.  Provides strategic context-setting within divisions, including translating market and regional strategies to division and service line leaders. Supports organizational recommendations by communicating results of system initiatives and business strategies. 

4. Partners with S&P team members to continually improve strategic planning processes and toolkits including: analytic models, volume estimates against benchmarks, and due diligence processes. Supports implementation of planning and product/service development processes, assumption and outcomes on an ongoing basis.

5. Supports recommendations regarding growth opportunities and potential partners, based on approved market growth plans, alignment with real-estate strategies, consumer demand studies, feasibility studies, scenario modeling and industry intelligence.

6. Partners with divisional leaders, executives and other key leaders on divisional growth strategies and space planning, including the evaluation, creation, production, and management to growth targets. Provides decision support, consultation and technical expertise to leadership and management.

7. Maintains a current professional and technical knowledge relating to the market, healthcare, planning, new services, and marketing by attending educational workshops, research, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must possess a strong knowledge of business as normally obtained through the completion of a bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics, finance or related field.

Must possess a strong knowledge and understanding of strategy, planning, and/or business development as normally demonstrated through five or more years of experience within the dynamics of healthcare, business development and relationship building with healthcare providers, employer and consumer groups and two years of strategy, planning or business development experience with projects exceeding $10 million in scope or equivalent experience. Requires strong logic, conceptual, analytical, quantitative, and financial skills to analyze and define opportunities for Banner growth, as described above.

Must possess strong executive presence with written, verbal, and presentation skills that enable the candidate to effectively communicate with all levels within the organization, as well as present findings and recommendations to Division and executive leaders. Must also possess strong organizational and project management skills to effectively direct and manage multiple comprehensive business plans simultaneously. Position requires expertise in the full Microsoft Office Suite of business applications.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

MBA, MHA, or MSHA highly preferred.

Health system and/or health plan experience highly desirable.


Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
