Job description

FLSA: Non-exempt (eligible for overtime in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations)

Schedule: This full-time position (30 to 40 hours/week) will work remotely within the United States.

Pay Range: Eligible for a 10% of earnings bonus, paid out quarterly.  * $2/hour premium for bilingual English/Spanish fluency.


Position Summary:

The Ministry Success Advocate is a pivotal role within our organization, responsible for initiating relationships, promoting the Augustine Institute’s (AI) products and services, supporting the work of the Sales Consultants and nurturing the growth of our Catholic community through outreach and engagement efforts.  This role combines sales acumen with a deep understanding of our mission for evangelization, products, sales administration of parishes and schools within our Catholic faith. 

Responsibilities:

  1. Sales and Outreach:
    • Proactively engage in assigned territories, parishes and schools through outbound cold calls with parishes and schools and engage in initial discovery conversations with the goal of setting full discovery appointments for Senior Sales Consultants and Sales Consultants assigned to those territories
    • Using CRM and other reports, researching parishes and schools to determine those not currently or well engaged with the Augustine Institute.   
    • Utilizing parish web sites, FlockNote, parish bulletins and school websites to gain familiarity with current parish ministries (or lack thereof) to prepare for outbound calls to non-engaged parishes and schools
    • Create CRM / Outlook appointments for Senior Ministry Consultants and Ministry Consultants for appointments generated through outbound call efforts
    • Consistently achieve and exceed appointment quotas
  2. Continual Learning and Growth:
    • Stay updated on Augustine Institute’s new products and offerings, sales techniques to effectively communicate the value of our products
    • Participate in training sessions to enhance sales skills and deepen understanding of Augustine Institute products and values
    • Attend regularly scheduled sales and advocate meetings
  1. Sales Administration Support:
    • Keeping accurate records of communications and interactions with parishes and schools along with potential leads using the CRM software

Qualifications:

  • College degree preferred but not required, preferable in related field (Catholic Ministry, Sales, Marketing, Theology)
  • Proven experience in sales, customer service or outreach, preferably within Catholic ministry is preferred
  • History of working within a parish or as a volunteer preferred
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • Knowledge and practical usage of the Augustine Institutes products (FORMED, Word of Life, Amen App) preferred
  • A strong alignment with the values, mission and principles of the Catholic Church, general knowledge of diocesan organization and operations, and possess deep empathy for Catholic users of Augustine Institute products.

  • Strong influencing skills, can build a compelling case that benefits the customer
  • Passionate to help customers and solves problems, proposing solutions
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform typing and use of office equipment, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.

Occasional Travel may be required in this role.
