Job description

The Expert Network Security Engineer is responsible for the design and implementation of enterprise and data center wide data network solutions that align with the architecture and business models to achieve optimal solutions for Acxiom and its customers. The Network Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining network solutions to include Network, Security/Threat, and VPN solutions; developing and maintaining network documentation; developing and maintaining network standards and guidelines; manage network and security capacity planning; interacting and consulting with Acxiom ENSG customers to collect required solution information; coordinating solutions with Acxiom ENSG customers; and providing support for engineering design and implementation issues.

JOB ROLE SUMMARY

Acxiom is seeking a skilled Network Engineer to design, implement, and manage data network solutions across enterprise and data center environments. This role is pivotal in aligning network architectures with our business objectives to deliver optimal results for both Acxiom and our clients. The Network Engineer will be responsible for developing comprehensive network, security, and VPN solutions, as well as maintaining detailed network documentation and standards. You will manage network and security capacity planning, engage with Acxiom ENSG clients to gather essential solution information, coordinate with these clients to ensure effective solution integration and provide expert support for all engineering design and implementation challenges. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Architect, implement and manage advanced security infrastructures to protect Acxiom's network and critical data assets
  • Conduct thorough security assessments, audits, and vulnerability tests to identify and mitigate potential threats
  • Develop, enforce, and update Acxiom’s security policies and procedures in alignment with industry best practices
  • Actively respond to, investigate, and recover from security incidents and breaches utilizing structured incident response protocols
  • Implement and manage security solutions, including firewalls, anti-virus software, intrusion detection systems, and encryption programs
  • Collaborate with IT teams to integrate security protocols into system architectures and design projects, ensuring a robust cybersecurity framework
  • Lead cybersecurity training sessions for staff, promoting security awareness across the organization
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the security industry, including awareness of new or revised security solutions, improved security processes, and the development of new attacks and threat vectors
  • Partners with engineering to ensure product strategy and requirements are aligned with development strategy and to orchestrate product development
  • Engages delivery organization to ensure product operations and delivery capabilities are addressed

REQUIRED 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
  • At least 8 years of experience in network security, with proven expertise in deploying security solutions in a variety of environments
  • Strong knowledge of firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), intrusion prevention systems (IPS), and DLP technologies
  • Expertise in network protocols, routing and switching, cryptography, and secure network design
  • Experience with incident detection, incident response, and forensic analysis
  • Proficient with common cybersecurity tools and software
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or SANS/GIAC
