Position Summary

The Accountant I is an integral role on the MultiCare finance team, responsible for month-close tasks and ledger reconciliation. In this position, you will apply your accounting expertise to ensure smooth financial operations.

You will prepare monthly reconciliations and analyses of general ledger accounts
You will meet monthly close deadlines and follows-up as appropriate with supervisor/reviewer to assure timely preparation of all work

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting required; four years of relevant accounting/finance experience may be considered in lieu of degree
Working toward or plan to work toward CPA preferred
Minimum one (1) year of related work experience preferred
Healthcare experience a plus
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite; Excel, Word, and Outlook
Experience with general ledger system preferred

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $57,949.00 - $83,366.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
