The <insert job title> is responsible for

The senior software engineer will lead and participate in SW design, development and maintenance of line. The product is comprised of a PC based application interfaced to a series of printers, cameras and other industrial equipment.  The interface is effected through TCP/IP sockets, RS232 and digital/analog I/O. The application is responsible for controlling a real-time critical process on manufacturing lines.  The tasks include software and architecture design, implementation, code review, integration of 3rd party software components, product integration and stabilization.  New functionality is typically executed via customer specific projects and the job will be in Remote work model

In this role, a typical day will look like:

·         Functional specifications

·         Architectural design and/or adaptations

·         Design review

·         Software implementation and unit testing

·         Software stabilization

The essential requirements of the job include:

·         Expertise in C++ and C# (10+ years of software experience with 3 to 5 years being relevant)

·         Moderate level of SQL Server and other relational DB’s

·         Significant experience in process control software development (real time, Interrupt driven)

·         Thorough understanding of TCP/IP socket based communication

·         Strong object oriented SW design techniques

·         Excellent problem solving/debugging skills

·         Excellent communication skills and willingness to interface directly with customer

·         Ability and willingness to take a product from concept to completion

Qualifications – Nice to have

·       Experience with AWS based SaaS development

Profile

·         B.S. or higher in engineering or computer science

·         Ability to execute on committed timelines

·         Independent thinker (must generate new ideas)

·         Customer oriented - high sense of ease-of-use and feature usability for the end user

·         Result oriented, proactive, persevering and versatile

·         Willing to travel up to 25%
