What You’ll Do
Design, develop, and deploy reference services and GitLab pipelines within specific problem spaces critical to Telstra's needs.
Review and integrate all application requirements, including functional, security, integration, performance, quality, and operations requirements.
Apply engineering best practices, including Agile methodologies, CI/CD, and DevOps, while collaborating with a high-performing and motivated team.
Thrive in a dynamic and autonomous environment, actively contributing to small, agile, and cross-functional teams.
About You
Essential:
8-10 years of IT experience.
Core DevOps skills
Proficient in implementing DevSecOps best practices and setting up CI/CD pipelines using GitLab.
Hands on with Infrastructure build and automation tool- (Infra as Code - IaC) Terraform/cloudformation, Ansible
Experience in container orchestration technologies such as kubernatives - automating deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications.
Application Development skills
Hands-on experience in developing microservice applications using a variety of technologies and frameworks such as Java, Spring, Node.js, Python, Angular, or React (We are looking for engineers with expertise in different tech stacks, not necessarily all in one person).
Strong knowledge of unit testing, integration testing, and automated testing.
Expertise in working with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Certification in any of these platforms is a plus. (We are seeking engineers with diverse cloud expertise, not necessarily all in one person).
Excellent debugging and analysis skills.
