Job Description:
Responsible for developing reporting and other analytics to identify opportunities or problems, process improvements and other system changes; responsible for Chargemaster files and fee schedules. Also serves as a technical resource to Level I Analysts, in maintaining the integrity of Chargemaster files and fee schedules through annual updates, periodic audits and ongoing review. Plans and performs moderately complex ad hoc queries and analyses for members of Revenue Services Management Team and Essentia Administration. Works collaboratively with Revenue Services staff, Finance and the Clinical Departments to continually analyze billing processes through developing trending, and modeling to ensure accurate and optimal revenue capture. Reviews facility site needs including occasional onsite visits to proactively provide service and support and assesses the charge master and billing system for opportunities for optimal revenue capture and to incorporate standardized workflows. May provide information and analysis with vendor proposals and negotiations related to charge master compliance reviews and maintenance tools. Serves as a technical resource in developing and documenting routine custom billing system tests, builds, and enhancements that will improve maintenance and/or prevent billing errors. Performs moderate complexity analysis and coordinates workflow implementations and support.

  • Current working knowledge of trends, regulations, & issues concerning 3rd party payers In-depth understanding of fees and reimbursement relating to health care services
  • Knowledge of billing systems, especially Epic
