About the internship

We’re looking for a GTM Intern to support our Growth & Go-To-Market (GTM) Team with market research, data enrichment, and outbound engagement. This is a part-time, project-based role (10 hours per week) with potential for longer-term opportunities based on performance and business needs.

This role is ideal for a college student or recent graduate who wants hands-on experience in growth marketing, data research, and outbound prospecting at a fast-moving startup. You’ll work closely with our Sales Operations Lead, SDR Manager, and GTM team to enrich our existing data sets, conduct targeted market research, and engage with key industry contacts.

While this opportunity is remote-first, Clerkie offers the option to visit or work from our SF HQ at any time.

Here’s what you will do
  • You’ll conduct market research and outreach activities
    • Conduct research on target markets, industries, and potential customers.
    • Execute outbound research campaigns to gather insights on customer needs and industry trends.
    • Engage with industry professionals via LinkedIn, phone, and email to collect market insights (e.g., systems they use, pain points, purchase considerations).
  • You’ll support our CRM and data hygiene efforts
    • Assist in cleaning and maintaining our CRM data for accuracy and completeness.
    • Enrich firmographic and contact data for existing accounts.
    • Help standardize and structure key data points for GTM decision-making.

What you bring 

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
  • Comfortable with LinkedIn & professional outreach (you have an active LinkedIn profile and can use it for research).
  • Experience with Excel/Google Sheets (familiar with sorting, filtering, and organizing data).
  • Interest in fintech, startups, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Ability to manage project priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver results independently.
  • Excitement for being part of a small, fast-moving team where every day brings new challenges and opportunities to learn and grow.

Nice-to-have (but not required)

  • Prior experience with CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.).
  • Familiarity with cold outbound research, surveys, or basic market analysis.
  • Comfortable making outreach calls for market research purposes.
  • Interest in fintech or financial literacy.
Our pay range
  • 💰 $20 - 25 / hr based on experience
