Job description

Position Summary

The Corporate & Specialty Regional Manager (RM) will lead and manage regional leaders (mid-level operations & medical leaders) of our key veterinary corporate partners. This role is pivotal in executing strategic and tactical plans developed by the commercial, marketing, medical, and partner C-Suites. The RM will focus on advancing partnerships between Zoetis brands and our Petcare corporate partners, enhancing lead management and enrichment in their respective U.S. region. Minimum 50% travel required, with potential for weekend work.

Position Responsibilities

  • Strategic Execution: Implement strategic imperatives to know, engage, and grow the customer base. Understand corporate practice KPIs, market research, data analysis, metrics, sales objectives, industry trends, sales training content, and customer needs.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Sales Leadership, Account Managers, and Professional Service Veterinarians to ensure effective collaboration and execution of marketing and partner programs.
  • Customer Advocacy: Advocate for the voice of the corporate partner while championing Zoetis Petcare. Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and influencers to drive greater adoption of Zoetis brands.
  • Performance Management: Drive regional partner performance across multiple teams. Adapt to technology, tools, competitive landscape, customer needs, and internal feedback.
  • Decision Making: Make thoughtful decisions in real-time. Demonstrate strong presentation and facilitation skills with both large and small audiences.
  • Communication: Exhibit strong communication and team-building skills across company and partner functions. Lead the implementation of near-term and long-term strategies for profitable growth.

  • Building excellent working relationships with Area Sales Teams, Commercial Leads, Medical Leads, Professional Service Veterinarians, and the Customer Marketing team.
  • Elevating the effectiveness of customer programs and ensuring successful communication upstream and downstream.
  • Understanding and advocating for the needs of internal and external stakeholders to maximize opportunities.
  • Driving mutually aligned priorities, projects, and sales.

Required Experience and Skills

  • Proven track record in managing partnerships, budgets, project management, and sales processes.
  • Experience in sales management and leading teams.
  • Demonstrated cross-functional leadership with the ability to inspire collaboration.
  • Strong organizational and project leadership skills.
  • Adept at working in highly fluid, complex, and ever-changing environments.
  • Understanding of negotiation, selling skills, conflict resolution, and financial acumen in veterinary corporate practices.
  • Proactive, collaborative, organized, and driven to continuously innovate. Ability to think strategically and execute successfully.
  • Proficient computer skills (MS Office, Outlook, PowerPoint, and ability to learn Zoetis systems)
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem solving skills, business acumen and attention to detail.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field. Master of Business Administration preferred.
  • 7+ years proven record of accomplishments including successful sales management and strategy execution experience.
  • Animal Health experience and knowledge of companion animal veterinary medicine preferred.

Physical Position Requirements

Ability and willingness to travel and work some evenings and overnights as required by the position.

The following base pay range reflects the anticipated base pay for this position if a selected candidate were to be located in (California), (Colorado), (NJ Remote), (NY Remote), or (Washington). Base pay may vary based on location and other factors.

Base salary range: $127,000 - $193,600

This position is eligible for short-term incentive compensation. The position is also eligible for long-term incentive.
