Head of Social and Influencer Marketing
Engage, Influence, and Grow Groq’s Community

Mission: 

Groq is redefining AI inference with our groundbreaking LPU, making AI faster, more efficient, and more accessible than ever before. We are seeking an exceptional Head of Social & Influencer Marketing to expand Groq’s brand presence, industry influence, and community engagement across social platforms and key AI thought leaders.

In this role, you will own Groq’s social media and influencer strategy, ensuring that our brand voice is engaging, impactful, and aligned with our leadership in AI acceleration. You will work closely with Marketing, Communications, Developer Relations, and Product to amplify Groq’s innovations, build relationships with AI influencers, and drive engagement with developers, enterprises, and industry stakeholders.

This is a unique opportunity to shape how Groq is seen and talked about while working alongside some of the brightest minds in AI hardware and software.

Responsibilities & opportunities in this role:

  • Lead Social Media Strategy & Execution → Own and grow Groq’s presence across LinkedIn, Twitter/X, YouTube, and emerging platforms.
  • Develop & Scale Influencer Partnerships → Identify, engage, and collaborate with AI/ML thought leaders, developer influencers, and industry experts to amplify Groq’s reach.
  • Create High-Impact, Engaging Content → Work with Creative, Communications, and Product Marketing to develop compelling social content, including videos, graphics, and thought leadership posts.
  • Manage AI Community Engagement → Actively engage in AI developer discussions, tech conversations, and industry trends to build brand credibility.
  • Support Major Product Launches & Campaigns → Ensure social and influencer strategies are aligned with marketing initiatives, product launches, and events.
  • Track Performance & Optimize → Use analytics, reporting, and experimentation to continuously refine engagement strategies.

Ideal candidates have/are:

  • 8+ years of experience in social media, influencer marketing, or digital brand strategy.
  • A proven track record of building and growing brand influence through social and influencer marketing.
  • Strong understanding of developer communities, AI/ML thought leaders, and B2B social media engagement.
  • Deep expertise in Twitter/X, LinkedIn, YouTube, and content marketing best practices.
  • Experience working with influencers, analysts, and industry experts to drive brand credibility.
  • Ability to create and execute data-driven social media strategies.
  • Strong collaboration skills—working cross-functionally with Creative, Communications, and Developer Relations.
What Success Looks Like
First 90 Days:
  • Develop Groq’s social & influencer strategy and key messaging approach.
  • Audit existing social performance and identify key growth opportunities.
  • Build relationships with AI influencers, researchers, and developer communities.
By Month 6:
  • Grow Groq’s social following and engagement significantly.
  • Secure high-impact influencer partnerships to expand Groq’s reach.
  • Establish a repeatable process for social media content and engagement.
By Month 12:
  • Position Groq as a top AI brand on social platforms.
  • Develop a scalable influencer program that drives ongoing brand advocacy.
  • Ensure Groq’s social presence consistently supports marketing, product, and thought leadership initiatives.

Compensation: At Groq, a competitive base salary is part of our comprehensive compensation package, which includes equity and benefits. For this role, the base salary range is TBD, determined by your skills, qualifications, experience and internal benchmarks.
