Remote Medical Triage Specialist (Telemed)

Location: Remote (Preferred within CST ±2 hours)

Job Type: Full-time (9 AM - 5 PM Chicago time)

About the Role:

We are looking for a knowledgeable Medical Triage Specialist to assist with telemedicine-based triage in our pain management practice. The role focuses on gathering patient histories, documenting in EHR, and coordinating follow-ups while identifying cases that require urgent attention.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Intake & History-Taking: Conduct virtual patient interviews to collect medical histories and assess symptoms.
  
• EHR Documentation: Accurately record patient information and update records.
  
• Triage & Escalation: Identify urgent cases and ensure appropriate escalation.
  
• Medication & Condition Familiarity: Understand common medications and pain-related conditions.
  

Requirements

Preferred:

• Prior experience in medical triage, patient intake, or similar roles 
  
• No licensure required, but MA, LPN, or RN credentials are a plus.
  

Required

• Strong familiarity with medical terminology, conditions, and medications.
  
• Excellent English communication skills and ability to work remotely.
  

      • Proficiency in EHR systems (Practice Fusion experience is a plus).
