Senior Unity Integration Software Engineer

We are seeking a talented Unity Integration Software Engineer with strong expertise in Unity and C# to join our Gaming team and work on an exciting gambling project.

 
In this role, you will be responsible for integrating game components into both our native mobile applications and web platforms. You will collaborate closely with designers and other engineers to implement engaging game features, ensuring seamless gameplay experiences across multiple platforms. 

This role focuses on technical implementation rather than creating 3D models or assets.

The impact you'll make:

• Develop and integrate game features into both native mobile apps and web platforms using Unity and C#
• Collaborate with backend engineers to ensure smooth integration of services and APIs
• Optimise performance and responsiveness for existing client applications (Android, iOS, Web)
• Debug, troubleshoot, and optimise Unity-based applications across different devices and browsers.
• Implement and maintain game systems, ensuring high-quality user experiences on both mobile and web.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions to improve overall code quality
• Stay current with emerging Unity technologies and cross-platform development trends
• Mentor junior developers in Unity and C# development practices

What you'll bring to us:

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in frontend development, with proven expertise in Unity and C#
• Strong proficiency in developing for both mobile and web platforms using Unity
• In-depth knowledge of Unity's UI system, physics engine, and rendering pipeline
• Experience integrating backend services and APIs into Unity applications
• Strong understanding of mobile and web optimisation techniques
• Experience with version control systems (Git) and collaborative development workflows
• Experience with cross-platform development and deployment strategies
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts
• Collaborative mindset with experience working in agile environments
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality code

Bonus Skills:

• Familiarity with Unity Asset Bundles and platform-specific optimisations
• Experience with mobile game deployment on iOS and Android app stores
• Knowledge of game analytics and monetisation strategies
• Experience with JavaScript-based GDKs (Cocos, etc.)
• Understanding of WebGL and browser limitations for web-based games
• Experience with AR/VR development in Unity
• Knowledge of shader programming and graphics optimisation
• Proficient in collaboration platforms that enhance transparency and foster self-organisation within Scrum teams
