POSITION SUMMARY
Our company motto is No Patient left Behind. At Orsini, this means it is critical for us to engage our patients, families, caregivers and community advocates to understand their challenges and desires so we can adapt our efforts and services accordingly.
 
The Patient Advocate will be responsible for proactively engaging with the hypoparathyroidism community and building enduring relationships with key patient advocacy organizations, community leaders and directly with patients. This individual will continuously lead efforts that reinforce a patient- focused culture and collaborate cross-functionally within Orsini operational departments ( payor, operations, clinical) to drive to best-in-class patient experience.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & TRAINING 
  • 2+ years of pharmacy, customer service or healthcare experience 
  • Knowledge or experience with hypoparathyroidism  
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with patient advocacy organizations, professional associations or individuals living with rare disease conditions 
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation communication skills; the candidate should be flexible, personable and easily collaborate with colleagues and advocates 
  • A passion for helping patient communities 
  • Ability to travel 10-15% (sometimes on weekends)
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES 
  • 30% Establish and/or further develop relationships with hypoparathyroidism community including patients, families, caregivers and advocacy organizations. Provide structured insights and reports to Orsini leadership. 
  • 30% Collaborate with internal Orsini teams to help prioritize opportunities to improve operations and communicate key updates and learnings to patient communities.  
  • 20% Expand patient awareness of Orsini by participating in advocacy forum discussions about specialty pharmacies and through partnerships with foundations  
  • 15% Participate both virtually and live in key therapy specific foundation meetings and events  
  • 5% Coordinate with Orsini patient advocates in other therapies to share key learnings and insights
