Job purpose:

We are looking for a data-driven and creative Mid-Level SEO Specialist to join our team. With a strong background in both technical and content-driven SEO, you will play a key role in improving search visibility, increasing organic traffic, and driving engagement for a diverse range of clients in creative and digital industries.



As part of our SEO team, you will collaborate with content strategists, designers, developers, and marketing professionals to execute SEO strategies that align with business objectives.


Job details: 

  • Location: 100% Remote - Open to candidates based in Central AmericaMexico, or Colombia.
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM CR Time Zone
  • Job Type: Full-Time Employment
  • Language Proficiency: Spanish: Native / English: C1 reading, writing, and conversation
  • Availability: Immediate availability preferred.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct keyword research and competitive analysis to inform SEO and content strategies. 
  • Optimize website content, meta tags, and internal linking structures to improve search rankings and visibility.
  • Assist with technical SEO audits, identifying issues related to site speed, indexing, and mobile usability.
  • Collaborate with web developers and clients to implement SEO recommendations and monitor the impact of changes.
  • Track and report on search engine performance using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and other SEO tools.
  • Assist in developing SEO-driven content strategies, including blog topics, landing pages, and donor engagement materials.
  • Conduct content audits to identify opportunities for updating and optimizing existing pages.
  • Research trends and audience behaviors to inform content development.
  • Work with copywriters to ensure content aligns with SEO best practices and engagement goals. 
  • Monitor website performance, organic traffic trends, and engagement metrics, translating data into actionable insights.
  • Create reports and dashboards to communicate campaign performance and SEO progress to clients.
  • Identify trends and opportunities for data analysis improvements.
  • Stay up to date with digital marketing trends, particularly those affecting nonprofits, to provide strategic recommendations.

Required Academic Background:

BS in Computer Science or related technical discipline or equivalent practical experience.


Required Skills and Experience:

  • 4+ years of hands-on SEO experience in digital marketing, SEO, or content marketing, preferably in an agency or nonprofit setting.
  • Strong understanding of SEO principles, including on-page, off-page, and technical SEO. 
  • Proficiency in Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, and other SEO tools.
  • Experience working with CMS platforms (WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, etc.).
  • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for SEO implementation.
  • Proven ability to conduct keyword research, content audits, and competitor analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into strategy.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
  • A proactive and problem-solving mindset with a keen eye for detail.
  • Knowledge of local SEO, international SEO, and e-commerce SEO is a plus.
  • Ability to analyze website performance data and translate findings into actionable recommendations. 
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A proactive and collaborative mindset, with a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
