The Event Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing in-person and digital events that drive revenue, enhance brand awareness, and foster engagement with customers and prospects. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a strategic understanding of how events impact business objectives. The ideal candidate will have experience managing trade shows, user conferences, and networking events while effectively coordinating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive event strategy aligned with business objectives, collaborating closely with Marketing, Sales, and Product teams.
  • Plan, organize, and execute trade shows, networking events, and annual user conferences, ensuring all logistical details are meticulously managed.
  • Oversee event logistics, including venue selection, vendor management, budget planning, contracts, and on-site coordination.
  • Manage event timelines, materials, and promotions to ensure seamless execution and engagement.
  • Work closely with Sales to optimize lead capture, documentation, and follow-up processes.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all event-related materials and communications.
  • Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial targets.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors, partners, and sponsors to secure favorable terms and pricing.
  • Conduct post-event analysis, gather feedback, and track key performance metrics to assess event success and optimize future strategies.
  • Oversee event design, content coordination, and audience engagement strategies for both in-person and virtual events.

  • Qualifications
  • 3-5+ years of experience in event management, marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience managing trade shows, large-scale corporate events, and virtual or hybrid events.
  • Proficiency in event management software (e.g., Cvent, Zoom Webinars) and marketing tools (e.g., Salesforce, Marketo).
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and complex priorities.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong negotiation, budgeting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Event planning certification (CMP or equivalent) is a plus.
  • Experience working with international and distributed teams is a plus.
  • Passion for working with public sector entities is a plus.
  • Travel Requirements: Up to 25%, including some evening and weekend work

  • What we want in you
  • You have 2+ years in corporate events, software marketing, government communications or high-touch sales
  • You have experience working with key marketing systems, Marketo and Salesforce; as well as event systems, Zoom Webinars and Cvent.
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • You have project management skills and an understanding of how to manage the priorities of multiple stakeholders in a complex environment
  • You possess the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment where functioning autonomously and collaborating as part of a team are equally important
  • You are a self-starter with the curiosity to expand the scope of assigned projects and tasks as needed
  • You are passionate and/or experienced in working with public sector entities
  • You have experience working with distributed and international teams
  • You have incredible interpersonal skills and enjoy a fast-paced environment
  • Potential base salary. Does not include bonus OR commission and benefits.
    COMPENSATION RANGE: $68,000-$80,000 USD
