Job Description Summary:
The Director, US Neurology Marketing, is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies and tactics for the assigned product portfolio within the US market. This role involves adapting global and regional marketing strategies to meet local needs, ensuring alignment with US leadership priorities. Key customers include HCPs, patients, and payers.
Reporting into the VP/GM of US Neurology the US Neurology Marketing Director is accountable for participating in the development and execution of strategic and tactical marketing plans in line with the US Neurology Business Strategic Imperatives. Key responsibilities include contributing to the development and execution of strategic and tactical marketing plans, ensuring alignment with US brand imperatives, and maintaining cross-regional messaging and branding consistency with corporate goals. The incumbent will be aligned to the US Marketing approach and brand vision and collaborate closely with the US Marketing lead of Metabolism.
The Director could also independently lead Marketing projects outlined in the Brand Plan that benefit the US organization, as assigned by the Americas Leadership Team, US Marketing Leadership, or Global Marketing. This includes but not limited to managing cross-business initiatives, CMLR meeting sessions, budgeting, agency meetings, etc.
The role requires cross-functional collaboration with internal teams and external partners on Marketing-related initiatives. Additionally, the Director ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Job Description:
1. Marketing Planning and Execution
- Plan, develop, implement, and control all marketing activities for approved indications within the region.
- Identify and communicate new opportunities, adjust strategic/tactical plans as needed, and track commercial success.
- Develop and execute both consumer and healthcare provider-focused materials and strategies.
2. Strategic Collaboration and Alignment
- Collaborate closely with VP/GMs and marketing team members to develop and support local marketing strategies and tactical initiatives.
- Cross functional alignment of marketing strategies deployed to key stakeholders, including : HCPs , patients, and market access customers
- Ensure alignment with PTC’s global and corporate marketing goals while maximizing product performance.
3. Cross-Functional Implementation
- Work cross-functionally to effectively implement regional and global marketing strategies and tactics.
- Ensure internal alignment and understanding of these strategies to meet local market needs.
4. Compliance and Governance
- Ensure compliance with all corporate policies, regulations, and laws always.
5. Media and Stakeholder Management
- Direct activities across the media mix (regional/national and local levels) in collaboration with the sales organization.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration with patient organizations and third parties in line with regional compliance guidelines.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline and a minimum 10+ years progressively responsible commercial experience in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology or related environment, at least 5-years of which were spent in marketing roles OR equivalent experience and/or education
- Demonstrated track record of success supporting the marketing and commercialization of an orphan, rare disease and/or specialized drug(s) that requires the development and execution of unique sales and marketing strategies. Strong working relationships with CMLR teams and process.
- US Launch experience of an orphan, rare disease and/or specialized drug(s)
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing long term and annual marketing plans.
- Hands-on experience in collaborating and working with patient organizations.
- Ability to anticipate issues and respond quickly, flexibly and creatively to solve problems and address commercial market challenges.
- Ability to influence without direct authority.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, as required, in a fast-paced, matrixed, team environment consisting of internal and external team members.
- Analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent planning, organization and time management skills including the ability to support and prioritize multiple projects.
- Fluent in English (verbal and written).
*Special knowledge or skills and/or licenses or certificates preferred.
- Advanced degree (PhD, Master’s, MBA).
- Direct experience working with, or closely supporting, managed markets, sales training and/or sales operations.
- Experience working in a small but fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment.
Travel requirements: 30 - 40%
Expected Base Salary Range:
$200,000 – $240,000. The base salary offered will be contingent on assessment of candidate education level, background, and experience relative to the requirements of the position they are being considered for, as well as review of internal equity.
In addition to base salary, PTC employees are also eligible for short- and long-term incentives. All eligible employees may also enroll in PTC’s medical, dental, vision, and retirement savings plans.
