The Position:

The Director of Client Engagement is accountable for leading client penetration and expansion efforts (growth within existing clients).  In partnership with the Director of Sales, this role will engage clients with a “consultative selling approach,” helping to lead client’s thinking to improve current business results and translate that success into expanded business with an existing client.  This role requires a deep understanding of our client’s needs and the industries in which they operate, the ability to develop and execute effective strategies which accelerate the growth of our clients’ businesses, and the willingness to work collaboratively with both the client and our team, to identify new opportunity and propose new solutions to capitalize on those opportunities.   

 

Essential Functions/ Duties & Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead Joint business planning with current clients (JBP) process
  • Develop strong XD relationships with current clients leveraging current business performance and performance improvement plans
  • Lead reporting efforts to highlight XD performance and case for expansion with current clients 
  • Identify new insights and opportunities with current clients through networking with client business & functional leads
  • Collaborate with broader Forward Solutions Divisions to leverage broader capabilities to win new business and improve current performance.
  • Leading and developing existing and new client projects and relationships
  • Managing and developing comprehensive monthly and quarterly client business reviews
  • Lead new client project startup and rollout process
  • Manage and negotiate contracts for client agreement renewals 
  • Assist in leading XD’s CRM database strategy, direction, and implementation
  • Lead client Campaign development and creation process
  • Coordinate and direct client eBlast programs and reporting
  • Lead process of acquiring and integrating third party data and lists

 

 

Required Skills/ Abilities:

 

  • Lead Client strategic engagements including JBP and QBR efforts
  • Strong ability to network within clients and with new clients (leverage current and foster new touch points and relationships)
  • Ability to ask probing question to identify new opportunities within current clients
  • Ability to collaborate with XD leadership team to develop new client solutions
  • Lead and develop Client projects, while setting priorities and deliverables. 
  • Deep understanding of vertical industries which comprise XD’s client base
  • Strong communication and writing skills; well-developed critical thinking skills
  • Strong project management, planning and organizational skills
  • Understanding of database dynamics and CRM applications 

 

 

Education, Experience, and Requirements:

 

  • 10-15 years of proven client engagement, sales, account management, or business development experience
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Exceptional CRM reporting & analysis experience. Salesforce experience preferred.
  • Fluent in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM technologies
  • Strong presentation, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to develop strong interpersonal relationships

Remote candidates can be located anywhere in the US except Alaska, California, Connecticut, Colorado, Hawaii, Maine, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New York, North Dakota, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Vermont, Wyoming and Washington.
