We're seeking a seasoned and strategic B2B marketer to serve as our Director of Content Marketing and Strategy. Reporting to the VP of Corporate Communications, you'll manage a small but mighty team to drive brand awareness and demand through impactful content. You'll own the content roadmap, ensuring compelling storytelling in support of  demand generation, product marketing, public and analyst relations, and channels/verticals, as well as key executive spokespeople for thought leadership content. 

The ideal candidate is a self-starter and strategic thinker with strong experience in delivering successful content throughout the buyer's journey. You can translate complex topics into engaging content and have a proven track record of success in content development and measurement.  Above all, you're a strong collaborator and culture fit. This is an opportunity to shape Dataminr's voice and build a content engine that fuels engagement and growth.

This role can be remote anywhere in the US but Eastern or Central times zones preferred.

The Opportunity

  • Develop and execute an end-to-end content strategy that positions Dataminr as a leader in real-time information. 

  • Own the content roadmap, aligning with  marketing, sales, and product priorities and their needs, and delivering against time-bound goals; proactively design content campaigns that amplify top of the funnel brand awareness and/or middle of the funnel demand gen motions. 

  • Amplify the employer brand through content around corporate initiatives, programs, thought leaders, and culture. 

  • Design content strategies that support regional needs (primarily EMEA). 

  • Develop and monitor key performance metrics for content, including organic traffic, SEO, engagement, activation, leads driven to product. Measure and analyze what’s working and what isn’t about our content outreach efforts, and optimize accordingly. 

  • Partner with PR, social, and digital teams to amplify content across earned, owned, and paid channels. 

  • Serve as an evangelist for our message, brand, and content through thought leadership and blogging.

  • BS/MS degree in Marketing or related field. Journalism experience is a plus.

  • Leadership experience with excellent communications skills, both written and verbal. 

  • Proven working experience in Content Marketing and Strategy with an emphasis on demand generation. 

  • 8+ years of demonstrable experience across content strategy and asset development, and demand generation. 

  • B2B technology background required, preferably for SaaS-based organizations that have scaled programs globally. 

  • Passionate about B2B content generation across digital advertising, brand awareness, websites, social, as well as testing and analytics. 

  • Strong track record in performance analytics and making data-driven decisions to continually optimize content and drive the customer acquisition funnel. 

  • Strong understanding of SEO best practices. 

  • Interpersonal and presentation skills and ability to confidently present insights and recommendations to senior management. 

  • Ability to coordinate between multiple teams across the organization. 

  • Ability to acquire and manage external content resources (e.g., research firms, external subject matter experts) to develop third-party content to support Dataminr market messaging and position.

  • Up to date with the latest trends and best practices in content strategy and development, digital experiences, and measurement.

The annual base salary range for this position is $138,720 - $204,000. Actual salary will be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, applicant skills, and prior relevant experience.

In addition to the benefits set forth above, the compensation package for this role also includes an annual discretionary bonus.
