Job Summary


The Internal Communications Specialist will develop content and implement internal communications strategies and plans that engage, align and inspire employees with Charles River’s vision and business strategy and drive employees' understanding of and engagement with Charles River’s priorities and key initiatives within assigned business unit. Develop and publish content using electronic tools, including Sharepoint, Poppulo, and Digital Signage. 

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

 

 

  • Support and engage with Site Communications Leads to mobilize, inform and engage employees and to ensure alignment with business communications priorities through regular touchpoints.
  • Implement and drive communications strategy for assigned regional leader(s).   
  • Create and support communications plans and develop communications materials for assigned groups, elevating content to global channels as appropriate and ensuring regular communications touchpoints with appropriate audiences.
  • Develop and share well-crafted written material for a variety of audiences within assigned business from senior executives to front-line employees and for various communication vehicles including the intranet, e-mail, speeches, presentations and print collateral.
  • Maintain global business communication channels and calendar to ensure timely, relevant content and assist with measuring effectiveness of communications using best practices and KPIs. 
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned.
     
Job Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


•    Education:   Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent in communications, journalism, marketing, or related discipline.
•    Experience: Two to four years related experience in corporate communications with a focus on internal audiences and content development. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
•    Certification/Licensure: None
•    Other: Excellent writing and communications skills required; marketing. Proficiency in creating word-processed documents, spreadsheets and presentations required. SharePoint, PowerPoint and other digital platform skills preferred.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:


•    Experience with Poppulo (or other email communication platform).
•    Keen eye for design. 
 

Compensation Data

The pay range for this position is $65K - 80K USD annually. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
