UPMC is hiring full-time Credentialed Trainers to join their team. In this position, you will primarily work Monday-Friday during daylight hours, although some evening and weekend support may be required during Epic Go-Lives.
Under the guidance of the training managers, Credentialed Trainers (CT) will work with their respective Principal Trainers, clinical operations and business operations subject matter experts, and IT application analysts to create and maintain various training modules and best practices on all electronic health record-related systems and processes in support of systemwide standard protocols, aligning with UPMC core values. The CT will use the curriculum, lessons, and training materials created by the principal trainers to train end-users and provide post-training support. Applicants must reside in Pennsylvania or a bordering state. This position typically works in a hybrid environment, providing on-site support within an hour radius of their home as necessary. Travel across Pennsylvania and its bordering states may be required to provide training, implementation, and workflow support services as needed.
This role will primarily provide support to UPMC facilities in Central PA including Harrisburg, Williamsport, and surrounding areas.
The ideal candidate will have experience using an electronic health record system, clinical knowledge, and a desire to train others. We are looking for applicants who will be available to start on May 5, 2025.
Responsibilities:
Prepares training materials to use during classroom training and facilitates training sessions to end-users on proper use of the application.
Assists in the coordination of training logistics (i.e. courses, meeting rooms, registrations, timeframes, etc.) in collaboration with the Principal Trainer.
Assists in the preparation of the training system for hands-on training, developing training scenarios and training patients, etc.
Maintains system documentation.
Coordinates the training of end-users for system upgrades.
Provides demonstrations of system functionality and real-time workflow support, as necessary.
Administers post-live refresher, optimization and skills-enhancement training.
Administers end-user proficiency assessments and in-system checklists.
Responds to end user requests related to training and workflow matters.
Tests lesson plans and training environment build.
Provides 24/7 workflow support, including participation in a rotational on-call schedule to ensure seamless operations.
Collects feedback from trainees in class and communicates feedback information to Principal Trainer
Maintains open, productive communication with management and staff of both internal and external customers.
Identifies and escalates concerns of pertinent issues to Director or Vice President directly responsible for the specific project or initiative as appropriate.
Maintains and promotes positive, productive and proactive inter- and intradepartmental relationships to facilitate effective collaboration.
