Overview

As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will be at the front of our health care practice, supporting patients to ensure a premium patient experience. The energy and collaborative workstyle you bring to this role will be incredibly important in providing the quality-of-care the Virtual Clinic is known for. In this full-time position, you will report to the Sr. Director of Clinical Operations.

Responsibilities

  • Providing a superior customer service experience to Virtual Clinic customers via email, video communication, phone call, and text message
  • Athenahealth Support - Check-ins, Patient Data Entry, Insurance Entry, etc.
  • Managing the registration portion of the patient intake by emailing, texting, or calling patients (Ensuring all patients have checked in prior to the morning of the visit)
  • Triaging and responding to customer service inquiries via our online platform, HelpScout
  • Monitoring online chat in, HealthiPass Text, and Patient Coordinator Text line in Ring Central in real time, handling all issues to completion
  • Communicating with patients about appointments, processing any cancelations and reschedules that are requested.
  • Works closely with the Physician and RDN team when needed to move appointment and communicate any appointment changes with patients based on a provider conflict that might arise post scheduling
  • Assisting patients in navigating their patient dashboard on Virtual Clinic and Athena Patient Portal
  • Assisting with various Customer Services Team Projects as delegated by the Sr. Director of Clinical Operations
  • Responsible of managing and tracking the status of all referrals (internal/external) and follows up with patients and providers as needed to ensure completion
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all referral activities in the Athenahealth EMR system

Qualifications

  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Have at least 5+ years of customer service-related experience.
  • One year of clinical experience preferred
  • You have experience working with Microsoft office, email, and other basic technology
