We are looking for a Quality Manager in Projects (QMIP) to act as an expert and partner, in this individual contributor role. The QMiP supports, advises the Project Manager and the Project Team in the planning, implementation, and coordination of project-specific quality assurance actions in compliance with the defined processes. This is an internal facing role requiring coordination with cross functional teams and has high visibility within the organization.
This is a remote position based in the contiguous U.S.
You’ll Make An Impact As You
Ensure project quality in the Grid Software’s Solutions business
Verify timely completion of quality gates with accurate documentation.
Attend bid/LOA meetings to review quality requirements.
Audit project Milestone Checklists for updates.
Lead root cause analysis meetings for Non-Conformance Costs (NCC) and implement corrective/preventative actions (CAPA).
Advise on quality-related methodologies/tools (risk management, lessons learned, Quality Gates, NCC management, root cause analysis).
Assign and track corrective actions to ensure timely closure.
Capture and implement lessons learned across project teams.
Ensure approved tools (JIRA, Milestone Checklist, Polarion) are used and updated.
Conduct internal process compliance audits and drive standardization.
Ensure quality of project test books.
Complete customer access audits for ISO 27001.
Participate in project kickoff meetings.
Facilitate pre-PRAM meetings, follow up on risks and mitigation plans.
Develop, maintain, and communicate Key Performance Indicators.
Mentor project team members on Agile/Lean methodologies

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required, with a preference for a focus in quality management, engineering, computer science or business.
2+ years of experience in software quality management or software project quality management (leading various levels of technical support or professional staff) including quality audits and root cause analysis.
Data Analytics/ Digitalization skills
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint) and Adobe Acrobat.
Ability to travel 20%.
Ability to work in the U.S. without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with electric utility projects or software applications are a plus
Certified as Project Manager (PMP or PM@Siemens)
Experience in core quality tools such a FMEA, Six Sigma, 5 Why Analysis, 8D, Ishikawa Diagram, VSM, and/or Process Audits.
Experience in Project and Lean Management is desirable.
Agile/Lean methods training or certification
ASQ or other quality certifications desired.
Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA
Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE)
Certified Associate in Software Testing (CAST)
International Software Testing Qualification Board (ISTQB) Tester

The salary range for this position is $73,500 - $153,720. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location. .
