Role Summary
We require a Content Screener to join our vibrant and fast-paced Compliance Team, providing intensive content screening services for our airline clients. The successful candidate will screen all material, including movies and TV programs, from a compliance perspective and create accurate edit notes tailored to client needs.

What You'll Be Doing
- Content Review: Evaluate and review audio and visual content for compliance with local laws, regulations, and client company policies.
- Policy Implementation: Assist in the development and regular update of censorship policies and guidelines.
- Monitoring: Regularly monitor media broadcasts and online platforms to identify potentially objectionable content and dialogue.
- Reporting: Prepare reports on censorship activities, including flagged content and compliance issues.
- Training: Conduct training sessions for media personnel on censorship guidelines and best practices in the region.
- Content Screening: Conduct continuous screening of movies and TV programming for compliance.
- Edit Notes Creation: Create accurate and articulate edit notes based on TV Edit Guidelines and Cultural Sensitivity Guidelines.
- Discussion and Compliance: Discuss edit notes with colleagues to ensure adherence to contractual requirements.
- Support: Prepare digital content for technical departments, manage deadlines, and handle metadata updates.
- Ad Hoc Projects: Assist in ad hoc projects as assigned by the Content Compliance Team Lead.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in Media Censorship: Familiarity with local broadcasting laws, OFCA’s general code of practice on TV programs, and local Film Censorship Authority guidelines.
- Understanding of Regulations: Knowledge of the National Security Law and local editorial guidelines to ensure compliance.
- Adaptability: Ability to adjust to changing regulations and remain sensitive to the local and geopolitical landscape and risks.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately screen content and identify compliance issues.
- Communication Skills: Excellent English and Chinese speaking and writing skills.
- Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in NLE editing using Adobe Premiere and knowledge of digital video standards (e.g., codecs, frame rates, aspect ratios).
- Industry Experience: Experience creating edit notes for the airline or broadcast industry is advantageous.
- Tech Proficiency: Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel) and general PC skills.
- Additional Languages: Knowledge of other languages is desirable.

The ideal candidate should have a passion for content, confidence in communication, and a strong work ethic to function well both independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in English and Chinese is required, along with a strong understanding of Hong Kong broadcasting laws, film censorship guidelines, and national security-related editorial standards in China.
