The Developer in the Content Engineering team, will primarily focus on front-end development, creating static sites and web applications to be used in TryHackMe’s educational content. You will collaborate cross-functionally with various teams, including Content QA Engineering and Creative Design, to ensure high-quality project delivery and the use of visually appealing assets.
Responsibilities:
Develop websites and web applications for the Content Engineering team.
Collaborate with other teams as needed to ensure seamless integration and high-quality output.
Implement gamification solutions to enhance user engagement and learning outcomes.
Contribute to new feature development and software development standards.
Understand unique problem statements and develop practical solutions.
Abide by TryHackMe’s theme while developing sites.
Encourage UI/UX concepts in the course of application development.
Qualifications and Skills:
Proven experience in front-end development, including static sites and web applications.
Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Experience with modern web frameworks and libraries (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
Experience with modern styling and bundling toolkits (TailwindCSS, Vite)
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to address technical challenges.
Familiarity with back-end technologies and databases (e.g., Node.js, PHP, Python, MongoDB, MySQL).
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the educational technology (EdTech) industry or working on educational projects.
Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and their integration with web applications.
Knowledge of responsive design principles and techniques.
Experience with performance optimization and web accessibility standards.
Understanding of interactive assets creation for virtual rooms or immersive experiences.
Familiarity with gamification frameworks and techniques.
