DevOps Engineer (AWS, Java, Bootstrap) – Remote Contract

Role Overview:
As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in building and maintaining cloud-based applications from the ground up. You will work with a highly skilled team to modernize legacy systems, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and security across a robust AWS environment.
Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure and applications on AWS.
• Work closely with development teams to integrate DevOps best practices into the software lifecycle.
• Build and deploy legacy applications from scratch using Java.
• Implement Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform.
• Automate configuration management and deployments using Chef (bonus).
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance and security.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer in cloud-based environments.
• Strong expertise with AWS services and cloud infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with Java for application development.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automation.
• Knowledge of Terraform (must have) and Chef is a plus.
• Experience working with financial institutions or regulated environments is advantageous.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.

Contract Details:

• Duration: Initial 5-6 months, with potential for extension.
• Location: Fully remote (Europe-based only).
• Start Date: ASAP.
