Job Description
This is a remote position with a starting pay of $20.00 an hour.
We are seeking a dedicated Rehabilitation Services Liaison to join our reauthorization team. The Rehabilitation Services Liaison supports our Physical Medicine service line when an injured worker requires additional medical services. This position acts as a bridge between our Operations team and our Clinical team, ensuring seamless reauthorization for extended medical care.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as a liaison between the clinical team, patients, insurance adjusters, and other stakeholders during the reauthorization process.
Process reauthorization requests for injured workers needing continued medical services, especially in physical therapy and rehabilitation.
Coordinate with the clinical team to gather necessary information for reauthorization requests.
Communicate with clients to explain the reauthorization process and the need for continued services.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date administrative records related to reauthorization requests and approvals.
Support the identification of alternative approaches for patients not responding to standard physical therapy, as advised by the clinical team.
Ensure all reauthorization documentation is complete, accurate, and submitted in a timely manner.
Respond to inquiries from patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies regarding the status of reauthorization requests.
Qualifications
High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred.
1-3 years of experience in healthcare administration or related field required.
Basic understanding of medical terminology and rehabilitation services preferred.
Familiarity with insurance and reauthorization processes is a plus.
Strong organizational and administrative skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and healthcare-related software.
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Customer service-oriented with a focus on patient needs.
