About The Opportunity

Provectus Physiotherapy & Health Services are currently seeking a Registered Dietitian (RD) to join our growing mobile health services team and provide expert nutrition counselling and care, based in Vancouver, BC (remote).

Your Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

  • Provide evidence-based nutrition counselling for geriatric clients with diverse needs, including Type 2 diabetes, high cholesterol, GI disorders, weight management, and geriatric nutrition
  • Assess client needs and develop personalized nutrition care plans, adjusting as necessary based on progress and client feedback
  • Educate patients and caregivers on the benefits of nutritional support and build a strong rapport to facilitate positive behaviour change and long-term health improvements
  • Assist in menu planning for group homes, care facilities, or corporate wellness programs, ensuring compliance with dietary guidelines
  • Utilize computerized record-keeping for efficient and effective documentation of patient to document patient interactions, assessments, and care plans effectively
  • Coordinate with other healthcare providers (e.g., physicians, occupational therapists, nurses, case managers, and family caregivers) to ensure integrated patient care
  • Design and lead nutrition in-person education workshops, group counselling, and programs focused on areas such as mindful eating, diabetes prevention, and relationship with food
  • Provide empathetic, patient centred, and family centred care, building strong connections with elderly clients and their families

About You

To qualify, you are a Licensed & Registered Dietitian with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC), and you have a valid BC driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle (mandatory for home visits).

Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:

  • Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) preferred but not required
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience as a dietitian in clinical, community, or private practice settings preferred but not required
  • Proven ability to manage a caseload, organize appointments, and provide follow-up care efficiently
  • Experience collaborating with multiple healthcare stakeholders to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for empowering elderly patients
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently while being part of a collaborative healthcare team
  • Empathetic, patient, and skilled at working with complex cases
  • Exceptional time-management skills
