About the Job:

We are recruiting for an European IT Infrastructure Engineer (L3) who specializes in managing and maintaining information technology infrastructure at an advanced level for our EU operations. This role involves working with IT systems, networks, and hardware, and it typically includes responsibilities such as troubleshooting complex issues, designing and implementing infrastructure solutions, ensuring the security and performance of IT systems, and providing support and guidance to lower-level IT staff.

Job Purpose:

• Delivers high quality environments in line with architectural standards and project delivery requirements.
• Provide second- and third-line support for the regional IT infrastructure.
• Support the build of the Regional IT infrastructure.
• Support the migration of Operating Company workloads to the Regional IT infrastructureEndorse security by design and challenge existing practices.
• Support ad-hoc IT project work as required.
• Making extra effort to help support teams and end users - "goes the extra mile".
• Having flexible attitude, ability to perform under pressure.
• Having a commitment to quality and a thorough approach to the work.

Principle Accountabilities/Tasks:

• Work with team to ensure scalable and stable support of a server platforms hosted in Public Cloud as well as Regional Data Centre environment including activities such as capacity, design, maintenance & troubleshooting.
• Work with team to handle ongoing maintenance e.g., service pack installations, hot fixes, software upgrades, etc.
• Contribute to the technical design of new server infrastructure solutions as new business requirements demand and in cooperation with Infrastructure Architect.
• Ensure server infrastructure is fully documented.
• Work with team to ensure scalable and stable support of a server platforms hosted in Public Cloud as well as Regional Data Centre environment including activities such as capacity, design, maintenance & troubleshooting.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

Required Knowledge / Skills

• Wide knowledge of IaaS and PaaS offerings on Microsoft Azure, including but not limited to:
  
  
  

Azure AD

IaaS Virtual Machines

Azure Vault / backup

VNET / Subnets / Network Security Groups / Azure Firewall etc.

Azure SQL

Azure SQL for MySQL

Azure Site Recovery Services

Other cloud platforms will be an advantage.

• Good understanding of best practices of design, implementation, and management of Microsoft ecosystem products, including but not limited to:

Active Directory

DNS

File sharing services

Printing Services

SQL Server

Office 365

• Hands on technical experience in administration of Windows Server ecosystem.
• Knowledge of PowerShell scripting language.
• Infrastructure automation (Infrastructure as Code) and configuration management.
• Experience in working on live distributed production systems (monitoring, implementation and support).
• Strong knowledge of Networking - DNS, Load Balancing, Firewalls, Routing, Web.
• A working knowledge of high availability/clustering technologies.
• Knowledge of backup-recovery processes.
• Azure knowledge on professional level.
• Other cloud providers basic knowledge.
• Deployments to Public cloud specifically Azure environment.
• Excellent English (both written and spoken).
• The security implications and challenges created by Public cloud deployments especially Azure.
