As a Project Manager (Freelancer), you will lead and coordinate automotive projects across software and hardware domains, ensuring successful delivery from planning to execution. Working with cross-functional teams, you'll manage project timelines, risks, and stakeholder communication while driving projects using Agile, Waterfall, and industry best practices. Projects may include hardware design for EV chargers, infotainment system development, or system update rollouts.

Engagement Details:

Length: 6 months contract with possible extension
Allocation: 100%, full-time
Location: Ideally Tokyo or fully remote
Start date: April-May

Responsibilities:

Manage automotive software and hardware projects, such as:
Hardware design projects for EV chargers and vehicle control units (ECUs).
Infotainment system development projects, ensuring seamless user experience.
System update projects, including software rollouts and vehicle firmware updates.
Lead project planning, execution, and delivery using Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
Ensure projects stay on-time, within scope, and on-budget while maintaining quality standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to address project risks and challenges.
Monitor progress, report project status, and facilitate continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

PMP certification or proven experience in project management.
Experience managing automotive projects, including software and hardware components.
Strong understanding of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects while ensuring timely delivery and stakeholder satisfaction.
